In Puerto Blest there are short, self-guided, low-difficulty trails and mountain trails whose difficulty is higher and that may require the accompaniment of a qualified mountain guide.

CANTAROS TRAIL

It is a self-guided trail that begins at the Puerto Cántaros dock, which is reached by sailing 5 minutes from Puerto Blest or walking for an hour from Puerto Blest, along a low-difficulty trail that surrounds the bay through the forest.  It has a route of 1.2 kilometers with the historic trail of 700 steps.

Visiting Cántaros Waterfall is somehing you can´t miss in Puerto Blest.

This trail will take you through 4 viewpoints with unique views of the waterfall and the Valdivian Jungle on the way to the Cántaros Lake, a beautiful lake surrounded by rock walls. At the end of this trail you can visit the thousand-year-old larch, which has lived there for more than 1500 years.

The trails has unevenness, but as it is planked and has viewpoints and breaks, it could be walked without inconvenience.

NATIONAL PARK TRAIL

This trail of 3 km. long is called National Parks and connects Puerto Blest with the trail to Los Cántaros Lake. Well signposted, it allows you to enter the forest and explore the Valdivian Rainforest, crossing a bridge, numerous streams and appreciate the views of Puerto Blest Bay.

BAY TRAIL

It has 800 meters crossing the bay from the Hotel to the crossroads with the National Parks Trail, where the great grandfather Coihue lives. This trail allows you to enter to Valdivian Rainforest and appreciate incredible views of Puerto Blest Bay.

It is of low difficulty, which makes it accessible to anyone.

TURBINE TRAIL

This trail shows the hydroelectric turbine that has been supplying the area for more than 20 years. It has an extension of 400 meters roundtrip from the Hotel to a viewpoint where you can see the “House of the Turbine”.

PENINSULA TRAIL

It is 200 meters long and has a low difficulty. It begins leaving the hotel and borders the peninsula, passing through a small forest, overlooking Nahuel Huapi Lake on one side and the Frías River on the other. In the peninsula you can take a photo with the big letters of BLEST and the Cerro Tres Hermanos in the background, a true postcard to remember your visit in this place.

RIVER FRIAS TRAIL

This trail takes 3.2 kilometers from Puerto Blest to Frías Port. It has medium difficulty and has little unevenness. It allows you to enter in the Valdivian Rainforest and get to know all the particular vegetation of this area , enjoying the beautiful views of the Frías River with its peculiar emerald green color throughout the journey. This trail can also be combined with Turbera Trail.

TURBERA TRAIL

It is a pasarela, 20 meters long, that goes into the bog, a flooded ecosystem, spongy and very rich in humidity. This unique ecosystem is very valuable for our region as it helps regulate climatic changes and hydrological regulation, retaining a large amount of water. The trail is short and low difficulty.
